Under 16s must be with an adult (parent or guardian) at the door

Cheerdance UK's venue rules say every dancer under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (parent or guardian). Door staff will not let a dancer in without one, so please don't drop your dancer off outside and leave: they may be turned away and miss their routine.

  • Everyone attending needs a ticket, including the adult coming in with the dancer. Pre-school children who aren't competing go free.
  • Bring your wristbands on the day. Lost or forgotten wristbands can't be replaced, and there's no entry without one.
  • Unused tickets can't be refunded.
  • Check your dancer's competition kit fits properly before the day, especially shorts, so nothing rides up during their routine.
  • An adult (parent or guardian) must go with their dancer into the changing area. No photos or videos in the changing area.
  • If you share photos or videos online, please keep them to close family and friends and focus on your own dancer.

Details

A full day of cheer dance competition with Cheerdance UK at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell — solos, pairs and squad routines for all ages and abilities. TICKETS: Wristbands are £22 in advance through Kanvas Academy, and everyone attending needs one — dancers and spectators alike (pre-school children who aren't competing go free). The organisers may sell any remaining wristbands on the door at £27, subject to availability, so booking ahead is the safe option. Your wristband is your proof of entry on the day: keep it on throughout, as lost or forgotten bands can't be replaced and unused ones aren't refunded. ON THE DAY: Doors open 9:00am for dancers and spectators (8:45am for teachers). Each dance school has its own allocated seating area in the hall. Packed lunches are welcome (no hot takeaway food please) and there's food and drink to buy on site. All children must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian for the whole event. EVENTS: Dancers can enter up to three events each — if entering three, at least one must be a Cheer Fusion solo or a pairs routine. Section times and age categories are confirmed by the organisers about a week before the event, and we'll share them with you as soon as they're published.
